Take Note

Many of us spend some time away during the summer: reflecting, relaxing, sight-seeing. Please, remember Our Saviour's while you are gone and continue your generous giving.

Mid-year offering statements will be mailed the beginning of June.  If you would like your statement earlier, feel free to contact Kim Fread.

No Bead Ministry in May—Be sure to join this fun group when they meet again on the last Thursday in June.

Would you like to volunteer at the Food Shelf? The fourth Monday of the month, from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. is Our Saviour’s day at the North Anoka County Emergency Food Shelf (NACE). Four OSLC volunteers help with food distribution to clients. The work and the fellowship are guaranteed to be rewarding. Interested? Contact Jan Green, 763-434-6117 ext. 122 or jgreen@oursaviourslc.org.

We are grateful that you attend Our Saviour’s and ask that when you come for worship or education that you remember that Jackson Street is a neighborhood street with a speed limit of 40 miles per hour. Neighbors have voiced a concern about the safety of their children on that street due to some people exceeding the speed limit. We have also been asked that we do not use 192nd Street as a cut through to Viking Blvd. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation. Our Saviour’s wants to be a good neighbor.

Aluminum Can Youth Fundraiser—Do you have aluminum cans sitting around your house? Would you like to help the youth at Our Saviour’s? Consider bringing them to church and dropping them off in the pop can trailer located in the parking lot near the driveway. Please no tin cans or bags. Empty your aluminum cans in the trailer and dispose of your bags in the garbage can attached to the trailer. Funds raised will go toward the High school summer trips. Thank you for your support.

Donate a Tree—The Hard Hat team is busy working on the church grounds now that the weather is nice. They have found that some of our trees did not make it through the winter. If you would like to donate a tree or funds to purchase a tree, please contact Jerry Ryding at 763-434-6384

Jesus Refills Needs your help

Jesus Refills is a mobile kitchen which brings lunch to the St. Paul homeless community, serving more than 250 people a day, three days a week; and the numbers are increasing! Every Thursday at least two volunteers from our Saviour's drive to St. Paul—usually with a vehicle full of clothing, sleeping bags, blankets, plates, water, and snacks. Donations to support this ministry come from the generosity of Sunday Hospitality, individuals, and its volunteers. Consider serving on a Thursday, 12:30-3:00 p.m. (which includes travel time down and back). You will find that you are the one who is blessed. Sign up to help on the Small Group Ministry board in the Rotunda. Contact Karen Bermel, 763-434-2554, with questions.

Jesus Refills Ongoing Need: sturdy styrofoam plates (sectional plates are handy); plastic forks and spoons; napkins. Approximately 15,600 plates are used each year. Donations may be left in the Jesus Refills Donation Box in the coat hallway.
