Today the mission team who built a house in Guatemala last December will be sharing their experience reaching out with a voice of Hope. We thank them for their dedication and sacrifice to care for a needy family on behalf of Our Saviour's. If you wish to make a contribution to the next mission trip or if you would like more information about going to Guatemala next December contact Karen or Jason Moehring.

2018 Wapo Participants—Bus Ride Home from Wapo! Wapo requests that parents drop their children off at camp on Sunday between 3-5 p.m. in Crossfire Chapel. OSLC will provide transportation HOME ONLY for a cost of $20 per child. If this is something that you'd like your child to participate in, please sign up for a spot. More details available on the sign up on the Children/Youth board.

SEASONED ADULT MINISTRY (SAM) Trip to St. Mary’s Greek Orthodox Church—April 30, 8:45 a.m. All are invited to join this group on a bus to St. Mary's for a tour and discussion of the Greek Orthodox religion. Lunch will be at Christos Greek Restaurant. The group will return to church by 2:30 p.m. Cost is $13 for bus; lunch on your own. Sign up on the Small Group board.

Adult Bible Study: Old Testament Stories—Tuesday, May 1, 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Adult Bible Study is looking at some intriguing and important Old Testament stories. To prepare for May's class the reading will be Genesis 27-31. The class will take a break June-August. Plan to resume Bible study in September on the SECOND Monday (because of Labor Day) and continue on the first Monday of each month.
Blessing of the Bikes (motorcycles)—Thurs., May 3, 6:00 p.m. potluck; 7:00 p.m. bike blessing. No ride afterwards. All are welcome to join in the potluck fellowship! Contact Joe and Georgine Pogones, 763-753-8078, with questions.
High School Graduate Honorary Service—Sun, May 6. High school seniors, plan on attending to receive recognition and a special gift. Please arrive around 9:15 a.m. to be recognized at the end of the 8:30 a.m. service and then stay for the beginning of the 10:00 a.m. service.
Car Wash Fundraiser for the 2018 Youth Gathering—Sun, May 6, 8:30-11:30 a.m. Come let the youth wash your car while you worship! Funds raised will go toward costs to attend the ELCA Youth Gathering in 2018. Suggested donation of $10 for cars, $20 for trucks.
Sing with the Celebration Choir for Sermon in Song—Sun., May 20, at 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. services. Join the Celebration Choir for Sermon in Song on May 20! Learn to sing the Hallelujah Chorus from the Messiah Oratorio and other fun repertoire. Rehearsals on Tuesdays beginning May 1, 7:15-8:30 p.m. All voice parts are welcome!
Little Dresses for Africa—Thurs., May 24, 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., at Glen Cary. Join this partnership group to sew for mission. A schedule is available at the Small Group board in the Rotunda. Seasoned Adult Ministry (SAM)
Trip to US Bank Stadium—Tuesday, May 29, 8:45 a.m.-2:30 p.m. The group will travel by rented bus for a 1½ hour tour of the stadium, followed by lunch at Blarney Pub & Grill. Meet at church. The cost is $27 (tour $14 and bus $13) plus your lunch. Pay when you sign up on the Small Group board in the Rotunda (checks payable to Our Saviour's). Questions, or if you need a ride to church and back home, call Susan, 763-434-6995. A minimum of 20 is needed for a private stadium tour.

Shipwrecked VBS is filled with incredible Bible-learning experiences that kids see, hear, touch, and even taste! Endowment Scholarships—Our Saviour's Endowment Committee will be awarding five $500 scholarships in June. The scholarships are for pursuing an undergraduate degree or for education to grow in Christian faith. Applications are available at the Reception Desk. Completed application forms MUST be returned to the Endowment Committee mailbox by Sunday, May 20.

Director of Confirmation & Youth Ministries—Full-time position at Our Saviour's. Lead and oversee ministry including confirmation, retreats, mission trips, special events, Bible studies, etc., that excites and inspires faith for youth in middle school and high school. Engage both the young people and parents in deeply serving and in worship. Requires a bachelor's degree, strong faith, understanding of scripture, basic competence in Christian theology, and the ability to be a public witness to faith. Seeking at least 5 years experience in a ministry-related role, having led or participated in a growing and vibrant youth ministry program. FT Director of Music & Worship Art—Coordinate worship volunteers and schedules working in conjunction with pastors and staff. Serve as contemporary band leader on Sunday morning, direct church concerts, dramas, and coordinate concerts by outside groups. Must be able to lead and work with a team, have vocal and instrumental skills, excellent musicianship, a vision for the position and a heart for the Lord. Possess a 4-year degree in music education/church music, music theory skills, and band leadership experience, is very desirable. Nursery is provided at the 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. services for children 3 and under, though it is strongly encouraged that children and their parents worship together. The nursery is staffed by caring adults and youth.
