Angelic Choir

Welcome to Ignite Wednesdays, Our Saviour’s weeknight ministry for families, children, youth, and adults! Ignite is a place where kids, youth, adults, and families come alight with a growing, glowing, healthy relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Activities are offered for kids, age 3-K and grades 1-5, confirmation for middle schoolers, adult education sprinkled throughout the year, and Ignite Worship for ALL!

Ignite Wednesdays run Sept. 12, 2018 - May 8, 2019. New families may join at any time, September-May!

September 12 Parent/Child Orientation with Ignite Worship
Parents plan to walk through the first night with your children. The schedule is as follows:
  • 4:30-6:25 p.m. Community Meal is served. All are welcome anytime during this period for dinner.
  • 5:30 p.m. session start time - parents go to class with their children. Learn about the structure of the year and get a small sample of a "typical Wednesday" (families that have children in multiple programs, including confirmation, should attend the Confirmation session)

Age-based Groupings - JAM/Connect

JAM JRs (Jesus and Me Juniors) 5:30-6:15 p.m., for age 3 through K

Frolic Curriculum

Jam JRs meets the unique needs of children age 3 (potty trained) through kindergarten. JAM JRs meet in their own special space, with leaders who provide activities, circle time, music, and free play.  Lessons are different than Sunday morning lessons.

JAM (Jesus and Me) 5:30-6:15 p.m., for grades 1 through 3
Holy Moly Curriculum

This age group is ready for more engaging and interactive learning. Each class will begin by finding the night’s Bible Story in the Bible (have kids bring their
Bible each Wednesday), followed by Rec Play. Rec Play is short for recreation play which allows students to have fun together playing games, doing creative activities, and building relationships. Rec Play options rotate every 3 to 4 weeks and are driven by the passions of leaders and the interests of students. One of the options will be Bible Drama. Each week, a group of students in Bible Drama will learn a skit for the story of the night. For closing, the JAM classes will all come together (parents and families are WELCOME) for a performance of the story skit. Closing will conclude with song and a prayer before going to worship.

Connect 5:30-6:30 p.m., for grades 4 and 5
Connect Curriculum

These older kids are ready for a challenge and will be using the Connect curriculum. Connect is Our Saviour’s bridge between JAM and Confirmation. This curriculum allows kids to dive deeper in their faith learning! The lessons for Connect match the lessons used on Sunday mornings.

Is there a cost to JAM or Connect? No! Our Saviour’s views JAM and Connect as part of our baptismal vows as a congregation to grow our children in their faith. It is a grace filled ministry that is supported by the congregation.

Angelic Voices Choir—Angelic Voices is for children grade K and up. The choir will meet periodically on Wednesday Nights September through May, beginning October 4. The choir will sing in worship about 2-3 times throughout the program year. Sign up with your children's ministry registration. For more info contact Kate, kroettger@oursaviourslc.org.

Ignite Worship - 6:30-7:15 p.m.

Worship is central to who we are at Our Saviour’s. Worship is part of how we grow closer in our relationship with Jesus. Kids learn by example and when you’re in worship together you have something in common to talk about, and you grow together. So, worship as a family, whether that be on a Wednesday night, Sunday morning, or both (the message is different)! All are welcome!
