Descendants of Abraham—Old Testament Bible Study No class on January 21. Join us on Mon., Feb. 4, 9:30-11:30 a.m. This Bible study continues with the stories of the descendants of Abraham.
Pub Theology—Mon., Jan. 21, 6:00 p.m., at Hidden Haven. This discussion is for Christians of any stripe: people who’ve been burned or burned out on church, those who believe in God, or don’t. Come and have a beer/beverage of choice and join in the lively discussion.
Little Dresses for Africa—Thurs., January 24, 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., at Glen Cary. Join this partnership group to sew for mission. A schedule is available at the Small Group board in the Rotunda. Silly Science Saturday Preschool Fundraiser Event—Sat., Jan. 26, 1:00-2:30 p.m. Have fun with a propulsion station, making your own catapult, straw rockets, secret letters, balloon blowup, and much more! Admission is $3 per person, $10 per family.

Vacation Bible School: Roar!— God Is Good—June 17-20, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., for age 4 through grade 5 completed. Cost due with registration: $35 per child, max household cost $80. This African Adventure is packed with incredible Bible-learning experiences kids see, hear, touch, and even taste! Online registration begins Jan. 15. Space is limited; sign up early!
Endowment Scholarships—Our Saviour's Endowment Committee will be awarding five $500 scholarships in June. The scholarships are for pursuing an undergraduate degree or for education to grow in Christian faith. Applications are available at the Reception Desk. Completed application forms MUST be returned to the Endowment Committee mailbox by Sunday, May 19.

Way of the Heart - Beginning Sun., Feb. 3, 11:15 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Pastor Tim Tengblad's sermon on the Aramaic Lord's Prayer revealed a longing among some for an ongoing experiential adult learning opportunity. Beginning on the 3rd, we'll meet in room 122 and learn spiritual practice that will enhance our faith life. This might mean praying together, again, the Aramaic Lord's prayer, sharing our own faith stories, meditating, and who-knows-what-else. Please bring a light appetizer to share and come with an open and curious heart. We will meet the first Sunday of each month. See you then!
Souper Bowl of Caring—Sun., Feb. 3. Join young people across America in caring for their neighbors in need. Throw a dollar into a soup pot as you leave worship on the 3rd and 100% of the proceeds will go to North Anoka County Emergency (NACE) Food Shelf, feeding the hungry in our community.
25th Annual Men’s Retreat: New Location—Feb. 15-17, at Grand View Lodge in Nisswa, MN. This year’s theme is What it means to be a Christian in today's world. Opportunities will abound for snowmobiling, cross country skiing, ice fishing, sitting by the fire... This year is the 25th anniversary celebration of the men's winter retreat. The cost is $100, checks made out to OSLC Men's Retreat. Scholarship money has been graciously donated. Women’s Retreat: Laughter Is the Best Medicine—Sat., March 2, 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Women of all ages, this is a day away just for you. Speaker is Jean Abbott, a young mom of three kids who has appeared on the TODAY Show sharing her inspirational story, which she’s chronicled in her book Misdiagnosed: My Thirty-Year Struggle with a Debilitating Disorder I Never Had. The Gathering at Linwood Covenant Church—2nd and 4th Mondays, 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. This collaboration with The Family Caregiver Connection is an out-of-home group respite program for caregivers and care receivers and offers companion care, friendship, exercise, and activities. Preschool Director: FT - To direct, operate, and teach within an educational Christian preschool program. To manage the curriculum and set the tone in creating a warm and loving environment for preschoolers, enabling them to grow socially, emotionally, spiritually, academically and physically. To promote the preschool within the church and in the community.
