Stamping Ministry Card Sale Today—Stop by the Stamping Ministry tables in the Gathering Space to build up your card supply. The group will be selling after each church service this morning. The Stamping Ministry appreciates your support! All proceeds go to support ministries and missions of Our Saviour’s.
StoryWalk Book—Halfway Wild – Today is the last day to read the children’s book, Halfway Wild by Laura Freudig and illustrated by Kevin M. Barry, displayed throughout the Meditation Garden. Feel free to walk the garden path, read the book, and enjoy the great outdoors. This is a fiction book, similar to Where the Wild Things Are.

Motorcycle Ministry Ride—Wed., Sept. 25, 5:45 p.m. meet at Our Saviour’s; 6:00 p.m. leave for Dinner Ride or Drive (this will be bikes or cars depending on sunset timing).
Sew Little Dresses for Africa—
9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., Sept. 26 at Our Saviour’s (note location change). You are welcome to come for as little or as much of that time as you like. Preschool Registration—OSLC Preschool Registration has begun for the 2019-20 school year. Our Saviour’s 4-Star Christian Preschool program offers children a quality Christian education in a secure, nurturing environment. Brochures and registration forms are available by the Children/Youth board or at oursaviourslc.org.
Bunker Hills Hay Ride—Thurs., Oct. 10, 6:00-8:15 p.m. All Ages are invited for this fun event. Age 12 and under must have a parent/guardian in attendance. Age 12 and over, parent/guardian is encouraged to attend. Meet at Bunker Hills Stables for a hay ride followed by a bonfire with songs, s’mores, and cocoa. What a great way to get to know others in the Children, Confirmation, and Youth Ministries at Our Saviour’s. Please make checks payable to Our Saviour’s with “Hayride” and your name in the memo or place cash in a labeled envelope. Place payment in the “Youth” box behind the reception desk by the end of the day Sun., Oct. 6. All youth under age 18 must have an Offsite Permission Form on file. Forms can be found next to the Children and Youth Ministries board in the Rotunda or at oursaviourslc.org/forms. Cost is $15 per person, $35 maximum per household.
Children’s Christmas Show Auditions—Sun., Oct. 6, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Worship Space. Come and audition for a featured role in this year’s Christmas show, Christmas Carol Special Report. Be prepared to sing a short song and read a small set of lines. Performances are Sun., Dec. 8, during 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. worship, and Wed., Dec. 11, during 7:00 p.m. worship. Rehearsals are Sundays in November, 11:00 a.m. with additional rehearsals in Dec.
Children, Youth, Family (CYF) Yearbook Orders—Check out the 2018-19 CYF Yearbook and place your order. The 40-page yearbook includes events such as: CYF Hay Ride, Confirmation Projects, Trunk n Treat, Valleyfair, Wapo, Mission Trip, etc. The cost is $77.78 (actual cost!) your cost is $45. Visit the table in the Rotunda on Sundays and Wednesdays, through Oct. 6, to see a copy of the yearbook and place an your order. Books will arrive at Our Saviour’s around 6-8 weeks after the October 6.
3-year-old Bible Presentation—Sun., Oct. 13. Bibles for all 3-year-olds and new students age 4-first grade who don’t have a Bible, will be presented during the Children’s Message at both services on Oct. 13. If you are unable to attend, please contact
Youth Group—Wednesdays in the Worship Space 7:00-7:30; in the Youth Room 7:30 –8:30 p.m. Grade 9 through college-age, join the group for fun, fellowship, and faith. Learning nights include: Religious Groups Studies, Peer Ministry Leadership Training, Conserving Creation. Fellowship nights include: games, blessings & bummers, get-to-know you, hang out time. There will be no youth group October 16, due to MEA.

Join a Choir

Carillon Handbell Choir—Rehearsals are on Sundays, 6:00-7:15 p.m., beginning September 8. This is an experienced group of intergenerational ringers. Participation is by invitation.
Jubilate Kids Handbell Choir for Grades 3-12—Rehearsals are on Wednesdays, 4:30-5:25 p.m., beginning Sept. 11. Join this great group of bell ringers on Wednesdays. No experience is necessary. Questions? Contact Julie Stitt, 612-720-7766.

Seasoned Adult Ministry (S.A.M.) – Sat., Oct. 5. Enjoy the fall foliage on a 90 minute, round trip, historical train ride from Osceola to Marine on the St. Croix. You have a lunch choice of Old Log Cabin (east of Forest Lake) or Keys Cafe (in Forest Lake). The group will travel by car to Osceola, Wisconsin (school bus company can only transport students across state lines due to insurance). Mark your restaurant choice when you sign up on the Small Group Ministry board. Payment and sign up deadline: Sept. 26. Cost: $17 + $7 paid to your driver + your lunch.
New Member Classes—Sundays, Oct. 6 and 13, 11:15 a.m.-1:15 p.m. You are invited to join Our Saviour’s family. This two-part class is offered at Our Saviour’s church. Lunch will be provided. Sign up on the Small Group board.
Red Cross Blood Drive—Thurs., October 17, 1:00-7:00 p.m. Save your blood for the Red Cross Blood Drive at Our Saviour’s. The American Red Cross is the nation’s largest blood collection organization, supplying more than 40 percent of the blood and blood products used in our country. The need is constant; the gratification is instant. Give blood.™
Refugee Sunday—October 20, 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. Worship. On this day we will be honoring Refugee Sunday. This is a day in which we join with the global church to recognize the great needs, anguish, and pain of the millions of refugees in the world. Please join us.
StoryWalk in the Meditation Garden—October 20-November 3. The book A Snowy Owl Story, written by Melissa Kim and illustrated by Jada Fitch, will be displayed throughout the Meditation Garden for these two weeks. Feel free to walk the garden path, read this beautifully illustrated children’s book, and enjoy the beauty of creation. This is a nonfiction book.
revelation worship [ rev-uh–ley-shuhn ] Noun. A worship experience where we discover surprising, unknown facts about God and Community.
Wednesdays, 7:00 p.m.
Come join us in a different worship experience and discover God in a unique way. This half-hour worship will include a new music format, a new way of experiencing communion, and a new way of praying. Each sacrament has been designed to further your relationship with God and to deepen your faith journey. Youth will be involved in a variety of ways – music, audio/visual, communion serving, ushering, reading, and assisting ministers. All are welcome!
Bluegrass Worship – Are you ready for more Bluegrass fun? Sunday, October 6, join us in worship at 8:30 or 10:00 a.m. This fun worship will feature the Cornerstone Band and local fiddler Tessa Alzen. Get ready to dance and sing to your favorite old-time gospel hymns -maybe even clapping if the Spirit leads you! Invite your friends and family to join us on this joyful worship experience!

Minnesota Renaissance Festival—Discount tickets are available to the Our Saviour’s community through the MN Renaissance website. Find the link, instructions, and code at the Reception Desk. The Renaissance Festival is open Saturdays and Sundays, 9:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., Aug. 17– Sept. 29, as well as Labor Day and Festival Friday, Sept. 27.
Snowbirds: Do you go away for the winter to the land that is warm? Help us stay in touch by letting us know your leaving and returning dates and your warm-land address. You Can Help
Winter Coat and Jacket Drive—for the month of October NACE Clothing Closet will be holding a Winter Jacket and Coat Drive for families in need. The Closet is in need of coats in all sizes. Please be sure your donations are clean and gently used. The drop off area is at the end of the coat closet hall. Thank you for helping to keep families in our community warm this coming winter!
North Anoka County Emergency (NACE) Food Shelf is looking for volunteers, mornings or afternoons, Monday through Thursday. If you are available or would like more information, please contact Audrey Lundstrom, 763-202-3188.
Trunks Needed for Trunk n’ Treat on Sun., Oct. 27. Arrival: no later than 3:00 p.m. Please consider helping to make this a fun day for kids. You are invited to get creative with your trunks and “treats.” Treats don’t need to be limited to candy… how about pencils, spider rings, juice boxes, stickers, etc? All food items need to be store-bought and individually wrapped. Please steer clear of scary costumes and decorations. We want to provide a safe-feeling environment for all our young ones. Plan for approximately 300 young ones to visit your trunk. Sign up on the Children/Youth board today.

The funeral service for Deanna Kleven is scheduled for Monday, September 23 at 11:00 a.m., with a 10:00 a.m. visitation. A 4:00-7:00 p.m. visitation will be at the Strikes Isanti Funeral Home on Sun., Sept. 22.
