IGNITE Worship

2018-19 Overarching Theme: Come Alive
Life can be so busy that we feel like we’re plodding along, just trying to get through the day…maybe even a little zombie-like! Being part of the worshiping community on Wednesday nights gives you a chance to worship with friends new and old, rock out and sing praise to God, and hear messages that connect to YOUR life.

Theme What's My Line - Different people will share stories of finding their path in life.
Oct. 17 MEA -  NO IGNITE, NO PROGRAMS, NO DINNER

Join Your Church Family for a Community Meal—Wednesdays, 4:30-6:25 p.m. All are welcome to enjoy dinner with your church family! The cost is $4 per person and punch cards are available for purchase. Menu: Oct. 24—Chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, and salad.

This is a family of young men who live in St. Cloud.  Thanks to generous donations, we’ve been able to provide housing support for this family. This family is Muslim, so we need to avoid dishes containing alcohol, pork, or gelatin products.

Special Reformation Celebration Worship - Sat., Oct. 27, 6:30 p.m. Special guest Mary Helene Rasmussen Jackson will share Things You Don’t Know About the Reformation, including people you may not have heard of who were instrumental in the Reformation taking place. Our music staff is preparing wonderful music, including organ and choir. Holy Communion rounds out this festive worship service. Ms. Jackson is the author of Daughter of the Reformation: A Historical Perspective of the Life and Times of the Wife of Martin Luther, and has done first person presentations here as Katie Luther. This year we’ll get to hear things Katie wouldn’t have been privy to! There will be time for Q&A after worship. Invite your friends and neighbors!

Confirmation/Affirmation of Baptism—Sun., Oct. 28 at 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. Be in worship to celebrate with 41 of our young people who will affirm their Baptism in the rite of Confirmation. When they were baptized, we promised to nurture them in the faith. By holding this event during our regularly scheduled Sunday worship services, we all get to celebrate with them as they pledge to continue on this path. Both services will feature the contemporary music and beautiful traditions that have been part of AOB at Our Saviour’s for years.
